Train services across Yorkshire will be brought to a halt this Friday amid the latest round of strike action.

Northern will not be running any services between Friday, September 1, while a very limited timetable will be in place on Saturday, September 2.

ASLEEF - most of whom are train drivers - and RMT are staging another walk out in a long-running dispute over pay.

Early morning services on Sunday, September 3, will also be disrupted due to the strikes’ impact on fleet displacement.

Tricia Williams, chief operating officer at Northern, said: “We can only apologise again for the disruption this strike action by ASLEF and the RMT will cause to our customers.”

Northern is the second largest train operator in the UK and runs more than 2,500 services a day to over 500 stations across the North.
