Confirming Dockerty’s departure on its website, Avenue said: “It was his form in the 2021-22 season that prompted the club to make Brad an offer, bringing him in line with the club’s highest earners, as we looked to build a strong squad for the 2022-23 season.
“Unfortunately, Brad has decided his future lies elsewhere. We thank him for his efforts at Bradford.”
Avenue manager Mark Bower said: “We are obviously disappointed that Brad has decided to move on, but we are grateful for his efforts and commitment to the club for the past three years.
“He has improved enormously over that period and I know he has enjoyed his time with us. We all wish him the best of luck for the future.’
